Tiger Wood, also known as Goncalo Alves and Jobillo, is typically a medium reddish brown with irregularly spaced streaks of dark brown to black.  Its color tends to darken with age.

The grain can be straight, but is usually wavy or interlocked.  It has a fine, uniform texture with good natural luster.
