Ottawa Valley Handrailing also provides and installs staircases in new home constructions. We work closely with the the client, the architect and designers to bring their vision to life.

The client wanted their staircase to be a unique combination of exotic woods mixed with a commercial appeal. After meeting in our Ottawa staircase showroom, the client selected the following staircase:

• Zebranno treads and risers built as a ‘waterfall’ design
• Tempered glass mounted to the open side of the staircase using round stainless standoffs
• Square zebranno handrail with a stainless steel round rod inserted on the top of the handrail
• The structure or ‘skeleton’ of the staircase; a custom center steel stringer with a clear coat finish
• The treads are solid 3” x 12” x 48” American Cherry with very little sap

The Main Staircase was designed to be the focal point of the home displaying a unique combination of steel and wood.
