Our client wanted to recap their existing staircase. Recapping or refacing stairs is simply transforming or renewing old carpeted or wooden staircases into new ones.
The client loved oak and wanted to to convert the stair treads, stringers, railings, risers, posts, spindles and handrails into red oak. After a meeting in our Ottawa staircase showroom, the client finalized on:
All the materials were pre-finished and pre-painted prior to installation, to decrease on installation times. The result was finished stairs in 7-10 days, including removal and final touch-ups.
